Peta Hooke is a Melbourne based disability advocate, podcaster, and consultant who lives with Cerebral Palsy. With a mix of lived experience and degrees in Business, Accessible Tourism, and Access and Inclusion, she’s on a mission to make the world a little fairer, accessible and more inclusive.

Peta's the creator and host of The I Can’t Stand Podcast, a weekly show that dives into disability culture and what it’s really like to live with disability. Now in its fifth season, Peta sits down with some of the most influential and thought-provoking voices shaping disabled culture today; from global activists to artists, writers, and change-makers;  bringing listeners stories that are smart, funny, moving, and often unexpected.

In 2025, she also launched Eggs, a raw and personal limited-series podcast that follows her experience freezing her eggs as a disabled woman. The series sparked national conversations about inaccessibility, ableism, and reproductive rights, shining a light on how systems too often overlook disabled people’s ambitions for their lives and choices.

Beyond the studio, Peta helps workplaces, educators, and creative industries improve access and inclusion. She also proudly serves on the board of the Australian charity Friend In Me.

When she’s not working, you’ll find her happiest in the sunshine, margarita in hand, laughing with friends or telling the story of the day six firemen rescued her from a library (yes, it really happened).
