The Australian Powerchair Football Association (APFA) is dedicated to making Powerchair Football a modified, inclusive version of football (soccer) that is accessible to people who use wheelchairs. As one of Australia’s leading adaptive sports, Powerchair Football is fast-paced, action-packed, and designed for individuals with physical disabilities, including muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, spinal cord injuries, and other neuromuscular conditions.

The sport encourages teamwork, communication, and strategy, and supports mixed-gender participation, making it one of the most inclusive football programs in Australia. Athletes can play socially or progress through local, regional, state, and national levels, with the potential to represent Australia internationally.

The Poweroos, Australia’s national Powerchair Football team, compete in global tournaments including the Asia Cup and World Cup. Whether you're looking to join a local Powerchair Football team, support an athlete, or learn more about disability sports in Australia, APFA is
here to help you get involved.
