Optimal manual wheelchair configuration is vital for full time and/or active manual wheelchair users to ensure efficient mobility and to maintain shoulder health. For these users, we need identify which frame design will best meet their needs and accurately obtain key measurements to facilitate optimal propulsion.

- Mono tube vs dual tube frame options
- Adjustable vs non-adjustable frames
- Essential measurements for scripted chairs
- Power assist options

Participants will
- Identify one feature of aluminum, titanium andcarbon wheelchair frames
- Identify when it is appropriate to use a non-adjustable wheelchair frame
- Identify five essential measurements of scripted chairs
- Identify three factors to consider when prescribing a power assist device
